Calman Manufacturing Process
Calman's in-house manufacturing flow combines digital and screen print, precision cutting and forming, controlled assembly, and final inspection. The process is structured for repeatability, speed, and high-confidence delivery.
Stage 1
Digital Print
No stencil-making stage is required for digital print, so it runs straight from the design file to the printed part. This removes process overhead and enables exceptional design freedom with near-photographic quality output.
Stage 2
Screen-Print
With design complete, stencil screens are created from in-house plotted film masters ready for print. Switch circuits and graphics are printed in an air-conditioned controlled environment to ensure consistency.
Stage 3
Cut & Form
Calman has CNC cut keypads for more than 25 years and still supports die-cut production where appropriate. Optical registration on CNC systems ensures accurate results, and embossing operations are performed in-house.
Stage 4
Assembly
Manufacturing stages are integrated into an efficient assembly workflow built for repeatability. Process control and practical build sequencing support consistent quality as designs move from prototyping into production.
Stage 5
Test & Inspect
Even relatively simple keypad designs pass through numerous inspection checkpoints before final test. Every keypad is 100% functionally tested prior to dispatch.
