It is ideally suited for medical equipment, control panels, media players, and home entertainment devices to navigate/control menus, interfaces, audio balancing, volume, playlists, etc. The sensor can be integrated directly into the device's host processor without the need for a dedicated microprocessor. Wake-on-touch functionality helps reduces power consumption for battery-powered devices. As with all Interlink’s FSR-based sensors, the Ring Sensor is able to withstand harsh environments and can be easily cleaned and disinfected with proper integration. Various actuator materials, including metallic, can be used to create unique design aesthetics.
