Every effort has been made to reduce the time from concept to finished product in the design and prototype stages and this approach has been carried on into the production department.

The production process at Calman has been developed around the idea of flexible manufacturing with low tooling and set-up costs. Whether you require membrane switch panels, facias or label product the approach is the same. All products can benefit from CNC manufacture which can eliminate knife tooling costs. Improved process times mean this process is a viable option for increasingly large quantities. Through an ongoing investment in the manufacturing process Calman has been able to reduce time to market for it's customers while adding features such as integral LEDs, EMC and RFI shielding, in-house polydome processing and four colour printing.

The introduction of new in-house operations and added product features also enhance the volume manufacturing capability.
